Results Second Joss Tour Stop at Niagara Falls, Ontario
The Joss Tour stop # 22 was at Color Of Money Billiards at 6-7000 McLeod Rd. Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada.
Owner Nello Robson and Mike Zuglan Tournament Director of the Joss Tour hosted the event with flawless dedication till the end. Needless to say the pool players found a friend in the local tournament director Willy Hermoza, he helped with some of the calls during the tournament and was available to answer questions regarding the event.
This was the second time that the tour crossed the border to Canada from the US, some players from the states followed across like Danny Basavich from New Jersey, Dan Kolacz from Buffalo, Tony Ruberto and Jarrod Clowery from Boston Mass. and others from far away as well.
We had 38 players at this stop, some of the top locals where present like Jeff White, Chris Orme, Jim Wych, John Jorgenson, etc.
The road warrior Larry Nevel was also here and once again showed his guns where fully loaded, both barrels recharged with cues.
The finish followed the road traveled by Larry up in Canada lately, first in the money.
All the pay outs are in US funds for this tour stop.
1- Larry Nevel $ 1500.00
2- Jarrod Clowery $ 1000.00
3- Tony Ruberto $ 800.00
4- Jim Wych $ 600.00
5- Andrew Attard $ 400.00
6- John Jorgensen $ 400.00
7- Dave McMahon $ 220.00
8- Dan Kolacz $ 220.00
9- Dan Basavich $ 100.00
10- Ron Casanzio $ 100.00
11- John Morra $ 100.00
12- Paul Clutterbuck $ 100.00
The game to decide who plays Larry was between friends Jarrod Clowery and Tony Ruberto, with Jarrod besting Tony 9-5, friends and all but bussiness is business.
The final match was an easy out for Jarrod, but a mistake took place......He did a miss cue, and that was fatal for Him, Larry did not make a mistake an took the win on a hill-hill game. There can only be one and Larry Nevel was it.

Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan wins Canadian Joss Tour Stop # 26
Color of Money Billiards hosted the first ever Joss NE tour stop in Canada in May 3-4 of 2003 in Niagara Falls, Canada. A total of 56 players, including Chris Orme, Jeff White, "Jumping" Joe Lawrence, Rob Hall, Paul Thornley, Terry Martin and some local players like Nello Robson, Ed Lepp, Tony Butera, Paul Groulx, Glenn Silverwood, Glen Seesemann, Jason Tempest, Randy Fawcett and many of the top Canadian 9-ball players, took their shot in this US added event.
Alex Pagulayan drew Bob Chaperon in the first round and Alex quickly sent Bob on his way to the one-loss side. Alex kept on sending opponents to the left side of the board, his final victim being Mike Davis who fell 9-5 in the hot-seat match.
The one loss side saw Chaperon bounce back from the loss to Pagulayan. Chaperon won 10 straight matches to get into the true double elimination finals with Pagulayan.
Chaperon scored a hard fought 9-8 victory over Pagulayan in the first set and the crowd was treated to one more match to decide the tournament winner. The second match was almost as close as the first, but this time it was Pagulayan scoring the 9-7 victory.
Nello and Linda Robson (Hermoza), the owners of Color of Money Billiards, pulled out all the stops to make this event a great one. They contacted a local cable company who had three cameras filming the final four matches with Mike Zuglan and "Jumping" Joe Lawrence providing expert commentary. A cue lathe was available for repairs and conditioning in the hall. This tournament definitely showed that there is a bright future for the Joss Tour in Canada.
